What Tactyn connects to.
Tactyn does not replace your tools: it runs next to them. This is the list of what is connected today and what each link does. Billing is not here, because it is not part of the product you use day to day.
| Integration | What it does | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Claude Code (Mac only, for now) | Runs the official CLI in the project terminal, on your own subscription. “Waiting for you” alert, session resume, model and effort per task | ready |
| Codex (Mac only, for now) | Same treatment: official CLI, alert, resume, model and effort | ready |
| Antigravity CLI (Mac only, for now) | Official CLI in the terminal, session resume, model and effort. Its meter starts without numbers, because the CLI does not write tokens to a local file | ready |
| OpenCode (Mac only, for now) | CLI in the terminal and session resume. Model per task; effort is not applied | ready |
| VS Code | Opens the project, or a task's worktree, in the VS Code you already have installed | ready |
| git and worktrees (Mac only, for now) | The maestro creates a worktree and a branch per task, merges dependencies, commits what is left and takes the result to the base branch with your approval | ready |
| Browser MCP | Gives agents a browser to open and test the project's site, through Chrome DevTools MCP or Playwright MCP, set up per session | ready |
| System vault | Stores the license in the macOS Keychain. There is no copy in a file | ready |
On Windows, the maestro, the usage meter, screenshots and attachments, and dictation are not available yet, and the supported agents are Claude Code and Codex.
The four CLIs run the way you installed them.
Tactyn opens each agent's official CLI in a real terminal. It does not modify the program, does not keep your login and does not go through a server of ours. The subscription that counts is the one you already pay the provider for.
To know when an agent stopped and is asking for something, Tactyn uses the alerts the CLI itself offers, the task's result file and a read of the screen, in that order of trust. The result is the “waiting for you” alert on the tab and in macOS.
What Tactyn passes to the CLI
- The model and reasoning effort you chose for the task, when the CLI accepts them.
- The same options when resuming a session.
- Permissions opened up inside the task's worktree, in the maestro. Optionally with the macOS sandbox blocking writes outside it.
The agents' browser does not touch your configuration.
The browser MCP is assembled per session. Nothing is written to your user's or the repository's configuration files. Each session has its own browser profile, so two parallel tasks do not fight over one, and you can keep the login between sessions if you want.
Tactyn uses npx to download the MCP server. Without npx installed, the app tells you instead of failing silently.
VS Code is yours.
There is no built-in editor to learn. One click opens the project folder, or the task's worktree, in the VS Code installed on your machine, with your extensions and your theme.
What about tools not on the list?
If a tool is not here, Tactyn does not connect to it today. That includes other editors, agents beyond the four, and cloud services. Anything that comes to exist goes into the table with its real status.
